Exciting Technology Features to Keep You Safe

Audi Silver Spring knows that when driving, safety comes first, so it’s important to have the latest and most innovative safety features at your disposal. Audi engineers are committed to creating vehicles as safe as they are fun to drive. That's why Audi models have so many available safety systems that do everything from making it easier to back into a parking spot to help you avoid collisions.

Audi vehicles come packed with plenty of dynamic technologies that make every drive more enjoyable, entertaining, and safe. We've compiled a list of some of the system's features we're head over heels for. Read on to learn how easy it is to use them to take your driving experience to the next level this holiday season (and all year long).

Night Vision Assistant

Using a thermal imaging camera, Night Vision Assistant can look up to 984.25 ft. ahead, far beyond the distance of headlight or high-beams. Above all, the system focuses on people when within 328 ft., whether they're visible to the human eye or not, and highlights them in yellow on the driver display. If the control unit senses a potential hazard because someone is walking close to the car, an audible warning is triggered.

Available on the Audi A6, S6, A7, S7, RS7, and A8.

Audi Drive Select

As an available option, Audi Drive Select integrates components to determine the quality of the driving experience, engine, transmission, steering (optional), shock absorbers (optional), and sport differential (optional). In other words, Audi allows drivers to adjust technical components to improve their driving experience. Drivers are able to select between three modes—'comfort,' 'auto,' or 'dynamic'—each offering their unique experience, from extremely sporty to outstandingly comfortable.

Available on the Audi A4, A5, and Q5.

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Stop & Go Function

Adaptive Cruise Control is one of the central elements of the Audi driver-assistance systems. Using two radar sensors at the front of the car, the system regulates the speed and interval of the vehicle ahead by accelerating or braking in a speed range of 0 to 155 mph. In heavy, stop-and-go traffic, for example, the ACC automatically slows the car to a stop. After a brief stop at a traffic light, the vehicle will then accelerate, following the car ahead. After a longer stop, the vehicle uses imaging data to determine any potential dangers, such as pedestrians crossing the street.

Available on select models.

These are just a few of the many available tech safety features Audi is proud to offer.
