The base model for the Audi A3 comes with front-wheel drive and is matched with a 40 TFSI® four-cylinder engine that produces around 184 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. With this engine, the A3 can reach 60 mph from a standstill in 6.6 seconds. If you’re looking for more power, the 45 TFSI® S line® quattro® all-wheel drive model increases horsepower to 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. This decreases the 0 to 60 mph time to just 5.4 seconds.
Both engine options are mated to a 7-speed S tronic® dual-clutch automatic transmission standard. Standard MacPherson front suspension and four-link rear suspension give the A3 pliable handling. If you’re a more demanding driver, you can opt for upgraded sport suspension. The speed-sensitive electromechanical power steering system provides responsive steering that seems to react to your thoughts.
